R. Sharon Smith is the Senior Managing Director and Chief of Staff at Ambac Financial Group. R. has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. R. has held various positions at Syncora Holdings Ltd, CamberLink and Ambac Financial Group. Ms. Smith has a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland.

R. Sharon Smith attended Kent School, a private high school in Kent, Connecticut, before going on to Barnard College where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. R. then attended New York University School of Law, earning their Juris Doctor. R. is also certified as a Compliance and Ethics Professional by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.

R. Sharon Smith reports to Claude LeBlanc, President & CEO. They are on a team with Lisa Kampf - Managing Director, Investor Relations, Dan McGinnis - Senior Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, and David Barranco - Senior Managing Director, Head of Risk Management.
