Amaad Ahmed has a diverse work experience that spans over several years in the energy management and efficiency field.

Amaad is currently employed at Amber as the Lead Net-Zero Energy Consultant, where they started in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Morrisons as the Property Manager - Energy from January 2022 to August 2022.

From November 2020 to January 2022, Amaad served as the Senior Energy Manager at amber energy. Amaad also founded and served as the Energy Manager at Encope, a technical consultancy, from September 2017 to November 2020. At Encope, they specialized in energy efficiency audits and helping clients reduce energy consumption and improve sustainability.

Before Encope, Amaad held the position of Senior Energy Manager at EECO2 Limited from June 2020 to October 2020. Amaad also worked at Mettis Aerospace as the Energy Lead Engineer from June 2017 to September 2017.

Additionally, Amaad has experience as the Regional Energy Efficiency Manager at Unite Students, where they developed energy and water efficiency plans for properties in the northern region. Amaad held this position from May 2016 to May 2017.

Furthermore, Amaad worked as an Energy Engineering Consultant at Inenco Group from August 2015 to May 2016. Prior to that, they served as a Consultant Engineer: Energy Efficiency at Briar Associates from September 2014 to July 2015, where they focused on energy management, efficiency, and legislation compliance.

Amaad's earliest work experience was as a PV System Design Engineer at Comfort Systems in June 2013. In this role, they worked on designing a Solar Photovoltaic System and provided technical and commercial quotes to clients.

Throughout their career, Amaad has developed expertise in various aspects of energy management, including net-zero energy consulting, energy efficiency audits, compliance with regulations, and renewable technologies.

Amaad Ahmed MEI Chartered Energy Manager, CMVP, CDCEP has a diverse and extensive education history. Amaad obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Renewable Energy from Newcastle University in the year 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering with Management from The University of Manchester between 2007 and 2010.

In terms of certifications, Amaad has achieved several notable accomplishments. In January 2019, they became a Certified Measurement & Verification Professional through the Association of Energy Engineers. In November 2017, they obtained the EMA Recognised ESOS Lead Energy Assessor certification from the Energy Managers Association, as well as the ISO 50001 Lead Auditor certification from SGS. Most recently, in March 2020, Amaad obtained the Certified Data Centre Energy Professional (CDCEP®) certification from CNet Training.
