Claire Poole

Claire Poole has a diverse work experience in the energy and sustainability industry. Claire is currently working as the UA Operations Manager at Amber since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at Amber from August 2020 to September 2021. Claire also took a planned career break, during which they traveled, pursued online courses to enhance their sustainability knowledge, and volunteered for three charities focused on re-wilding, carbon capture, and crisis support. Before their break, they held the position of Head of Client Services at Inspired Energy plc from March 2018 to November 2019. Claire also served as the Head of Bureau at the same company from September 2015 to February 2018, where they oversaw the delivery of energy management services. Claire's earlier experience includes roles as Bureau Service Manager and Bureau Account Manager at STC Energy from August 2008 to August 2015.

Claire obtained a PGCert in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of Derby from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law & Criminology at The University of Sheffield from 2005 to 2008. Before attending university, Claire pursued the International Baccalaureate at Dartford Grammar School from 2003 to 2005. Claire completed their secondary education at Wilmington Grammar School for Girls, where they obtained GCSEs from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Claire holds several certifications. Claire obtained a Level 5 Award in Leadership & Management from ILM in January 2022. In November 2020, they completed the Adult Mental Health First Aid course offered by Mental Health First Aid Wales. In June 2020, Claire obtained certifications in Mental Health First Aid Course from Acacia Training and Sustainability and Development from Deakin University. In May 2020, they completed the Mental Health Awareness course provided by Hestia Charity. Furthermore, Claire received certifications in Leadership Skills Development from IMPELLUS LIMITED in November 2017 and Effective Personal Management Workshop from Leadership Management Institute in February 2016.
