Kiran P. has a long and varied work experience. Kiran began their career in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer at Palm, where they worked on the complete stack from drivers and middleware to security and UI to systems level work on power and performance. In 2009, they moved to Apple as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2010, they joined Nimbula (acquired by Oracle) as a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, where they were one of the early team members that helped deliver beta, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0. In 2013, they moved to Oracle as Vice President of Engineering, where they led efforts for defining, delivering and managing Virtual Network (VPC, Security Groups, Elastic IP, DNS, VPN etc.) and Elastic Block Storage Services (EBS) in Oracle Public Cloud. In 2018, they joined Facebook as Leadership of Facebook Infrastructure, where they built an organization that shipped backend services to millions of machines and processes hundreds of terabytes per day, as well as generating realtime insights into everything going in and out of Facebook and between every backend service. In 2021, they joined Ambient.ai as Head of Engineering, leading all Engineering efforts. Ambient.ai is a top YC company backed by a16z and other notable investors and is solving some exciting problems.

Kiran P. has a Masters in Computer Science from Michigan State University, a Bachelors in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai, and Executive Education from IESE Business School and the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
