Sirkku Paajanen has a strong background in software development and analysis. Sirkku started their career as a Trainee at Rolf Nevanlinna Institute in 1996 while studying at the University of Helsinki. Sirkku then worked as a Research Assistant at the Helsinki University of Technology from 1996 to 1998.

In 1998, Sirkku joined ATE - Applied Technical Engineering Oy as a Software Designer, where they stayed until 2000. Sirkku then joined Connexor Oy as a Senior Software Engineer and worked there until 2006.

Sirkku then transitioned to Geneos Oy in 2007, where they worked as a Data Analyst, specializing in development of analysis software using C++ for medical analysis purposes. In the same year, they also worked at Offscreen Technologies Oy as a Software Engineer.

From 2009 to 2015, Sirkku worked at CSC - IT Center for Science Ltd. as a Software Specialist. Currently, they are employed at Ambientia as a Senior Software Developer, a position they have held since 2015.

Sirkku Paajanen pursued their education in computer science and mathematics at the University of Helsinki from 1989 to 1998, during which they completed postgraduate studies and obtained an M.Sc. degree. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have acquired additional certifications as a Liferay 6.2 Certified Professional Developer from Liferay, Inc., in April 2015, and as a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in November 2012.
