Anne Heavey has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the education sector. Anne is currently the Director of Insights at Ambition Institute. Prior to this, they worked at The National Autistic Society as the Assistant Director - Governance and Commissioning in Schools. Anne also served as the Priority Project lead - Schools and Early Education at Ofsted. Previously, Anne was the National Director at Whole School SEND and an Education Policy Advisor at the National Education Union (ATL Section). Anne'searlier experience includes being the Director of Music at Enfield Grammar School.
Anne Heavey completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Oxford in 2009. In 2010, they pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Music at Nottingham Trent University. Anne is currently working towards a Research Doctorate in Curriculum Reform, Gender, and Primary History from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society since 2017.
