Prior to this, Suranga had a significant tenure at Standard Chartered Bank from 2008 to 2019, where responsibilities included Head of Client Acquisition and Head of Client Experience, focusing on retail banking performance and customer satisfaction. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Preston University and a diploma in Marketing from Wigan and Leigh College, complemented by certifications in bank compliance and regulation.
