Ana Silverstein

Ana Silverstein is an accomplished scientist currently serving as a Variant Assessment Scientist I at Ambry Genetics since September 2025. Prior experience includes working as an AI Model Validation Expert at Handshake, where Ana utilized Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback to enhance biological reasoning in machine learning models. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Southern California, Ana led therapeutic candidate screenings and mentored junior researchers. Ana's research as an NIH/NIA T32 Training Fellow focused on immune system aging, contributing to significant collaborations in age-related disease studies. Educational credentials include a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Washington, where Ana also contributed to pioneering research on neuronal development.
