Iva S.

Iva S. has extensive experience in genetic counseling and operations, currently serving as Lead—Accessioning GC Operations at Ambry Genetics since May 2019, where previous roles included Genetic Counselor II and Genetic Counselor I in the same department. Prior to this, Iva S. completed a Genetic Counseling Student Internship at Northwestern University, gaining valuable skills in laboratory utilization management, variant interpretation, and report writing. Iva S. also has a background in employment services, having worked as Employment Program Coordinator at Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, Inc., where a new Employment Program was developed to assist veterans and their families with job placement and retention. Earlier experience includes serving as Outreach Coordinator and Employment Counselor at Supported Employment Associates. Iva S. holds a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University, a Master of Arts in Sociology from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Benedictine University.
