Tina Pesaran Ma

Tina Pesaran MA, MS, CGC has extensive work experience in the field of genetic counseling. Tina began their career as a Graduate Student at UCLA from 1998 to 2002. Tina then worked as a Genetic Counselor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 2004 to 2006, followed by a position at Harlem Hospital Center as a Genetic Counselor from 2006 to 2012.

In 2011, Tina joined Ambry Genetics, where they held various roles over the years. Tina started as a Genetic Counselor in Cancer Reporting from 2011 to 2014 and then became a Senior Manager in the Variant Assessment Program from 2014 to 2019. Tina further progressed to the position of Director in the Variant Assessment Program from 2019 to 2022, and later became the Director of the Genomic Sciences & Curation Program from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Tina is the Senior Director of the Genomic Sciences & Curation Program at Ambry Genetics.

Tina Pesaran MA, MS, CGC completed their Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA in 2000. Tina then pursued their Master of Arts in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA from 2000 to 2002. Later, they obtained their Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from California State University, Northridge between 2002 and 2004. In addition, they hold a certification as a Certified Genetic Counselor from the American Board of Genetic Counselors.
