Sarah Morrill

VP, Program Experience at Activate

Sarah Morrill is the Education Director at Activate. Sarah has dedicated their career to education, specifically working with high-needs schools. Sarah started their career as a 3rd grade teacher in Atlanta Public Schools. Sarah then joined Teach For America as a Senior Managing Director for their Teacher Leadership Training Program. In this role, they set the vision and strategic direction for a leadership team to hire, onboard, train, and coach 120 staff members annually. Her next role was as Principal of Lazear Charter Academy - Education For Change Public Schools. Here they led a change management process to turn around one of the lowest performing schools in the district to one recognized for excellence in the Bay Area for low-income students. Sarah did this by collaborative creation of a new vision, aligned strategic priorities, and relentlessly focusing on hiring, developing, coaching, and retaining a strong a diverse leadership team and staff at all levels. In their current role as Education Director at Activate, Sarah continues their work to ensure that all students have access to quality education.

Sarah Morrill's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Economy from Colorado College and an Executive MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
