Brooks Rainer

SVP, Global Tax at AMC Theatres

Brooks Rainer is the Senior Vice President of Global Tax at AMC Theatres. Brooks has over 20 years of experience in tax and accounting, having worked at Arthur Andersen, Travis Boats & Motors, Inc., and Ernst & Young.

Rainer has extensive experience in resolving IRS tax controversies and protests, and has led due diligence teams on all middle market acquisitions. Brooks has advised publicly- and privately- held companies on US and foreign business and tax matters ranging from startup ventures to multi-billion dollar enterprises with a primary focus on family and private equity firm owned ventures.

Rainer played a key role in the privatization/delisting transaction of General Cinema Corporation and the due diligence on Loews Cineplex Entertainment. Brooks has also gained significant experience in FAS No. 109 – Accounting for Income Taxes, financial reporting and footnote disclosure of income taxes, and Sarbanes - Oxley Act $404 tax process and controls.

Brooks Rainer has a Master of Taxation and BBA Accounting from Baylor University. Brooks is certified by the Kansas Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant and by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant.
