Jennifer M. Smith is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in internal auditing and assurance services. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Assurance Services at Amedisys since January 2016, Jennifer is responsible for launching the enterprise risk management program and overseeing the Internal Audit and SOX/Financial Controls department. Previous roles include Director of Assurance Services at Amedisys and Chief Audit Executive/Director at General Health System/Baton Rouge General. Jennifer has also held various positions at The Shaw Group, culminating in experience as a Senior Internal Auditor and has served on the Board of Governors for The Institute of Internal Auditors, Baton Rouge chapter. Jennifer holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University and possesses several professional certifications, including CPA, CIA, CFE, and CRMA.
