Melanie Herndon

Melanie Herndon has extensive work experience in the field of physical therapy, spanning over three decades. Melanie began their career in 1986 as a Physical Therapist at Sheltering Arms Hospital, where they worked in the Acute Care and Inpatient Rehab departments. Melanie later became the Musculoskeletal Program Coordinator before moving on to work as a Physical Therapy Consultant at the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services. Melanie then served as a Long Term Care Coordinator at Virginia Rehabilitation Services and as a Physical Therapist at Miami Valley Hospital. Melanie further expanded their expertise and skills by working as a Physical Therapist and Facility Coordinator at Rehab America/Nu Med Rehabilitation, and as a Physical Therapist at Magnolia Rehab and Manorcare Health Services. Melanie then joined Sierra Therapy Services as a Physical Therapist specializing in Geriatrics. Subsequently, they worked at StaffBuilders as a Rehab Liaison and Rehab Contact. Melanie'smost recent position was with Amedisys, where they held various roles, including the Corporate Director of Rehab Clinical Resources and the Rehab Specialty Director/Area Rehab Director. Melanie has a wealth of experience in both clinical and management positions, particularly in the area of rehabilitation therapy.

Melanie Herndon attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1982 to 1986, where they received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist.
