Richard Kaufmann

Richard Kaufmann has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and security. Richard has held various managerial and leadership roles in multiple companies, including Amedisys, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, Rain CII Carbon LLC, GE Capital, BlueCross BlueShield of Louisiana, Tidewater Marine, and Resource Bank. Their most recent role was as the SVP and Chief Information Security Officer at Amedisys since January 2023. Before that, they served as the VP and Chief Information Security Officer at the same company from September 2018 to January 2023. Prior to Amedisys, they were the Manager: Cyber Security Threat Management at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana from February 2017 to September 2018. Richard also has experience as an IT Manager at Rain CII Carbon LLC, a Data Intelligence Leader at GE Capital, an Advisory Enterprise Programmer Analyst and Senior IT Practice Engineer at BlueCross BlueShield of Louisiana, a Senior Internal Auditor and Network Administrator at Tidewater Marine, and a Network Specialist at Resource Bank.

Richard Kaufmann attended Louisiana Tech University in 2001 for Computer Science. From 2002 to 2005, they studied Computer Science at Louisiana State University. Richard has also obtained additional certifications such as CDPSE from ISACA and HCISPP from ISC2 MAINE CHAPTER. Additionally, they have certifications in CRISC from ISACA and ITIL Foundations from ITIL.
