Alex Koenen

Alex Koenen, CPA, currently serves as the Director of Accounting at Ameren, overseeing general and plant accounting teams to ensure accurate financial results, manage the monthly financial close process, and advance financial transformation investments. Previous roles at Ameren included Director of Controllers Special Projects, where efforts focused on finance transformation initiatives and the implementation of new ERP and EPM systems. Before returning to Ameren, Alex spent over a decade at PwC, initially as a Staff - Senior Manager managing audit engagements for diverse industries, and later as Director in the National Quality Organization, providing expertise in audit areas and supporting public company audits. Alex holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Political Science from Truman State University.
