John D. Rhea

John D. Rhea has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. John D. currently serves as a Board Member at Midwest Reliability Organization since 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer at Ameren starting from October 2019. Before that, they worked at OGE Energy Corp for several years, serving as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer from 2007 to 2019. John D. also held the position of Compliance Officer and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Oklahoma Gas & Electric from 2007 to 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant General Counsel and Director of Corporate Compliance at El Paso Electric Company from 2002 to 2007, and started their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Sandenaw, Carrillo, & Piazza, LLC from 2001 to 2002.

John D. Rhea has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Oklahoma City University. John D. also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy, with a focus on Ethics and Religion, from the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, they attended Norman High School.
