John David Long Garcia serves as a Senior Editor at America Media since September 2017, focusing on coverage of Latino Catholics in the United States. With extensive experience in Catholic media, John has been a member of the Catholic Media Association since 2004, serving on the Board of Directors from 2015 to 2022 and as President from 2019 to 2021. Prior roles include Editor-in-Chief at Angelus News/The Tidings Corporation and Managing Editor at The Catholic Sun within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. John has also contributed to Liturgical Press and taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Kino Catechetical Institute. John's academic background includes multiple degrees in philosophy, theology, psychology, and communication from prestigious institutions, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality at Fordham University.
