Rachel Rivers

Rachel Rivers has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Associate General Counsel at the American Academy of Family Physicians since May 2021. Prior to this role, Rachel was Deputy Chief Counsel for Litigation at the Missouri Attorney General's Office from September 2018 to April 2021. Rachel's background includes partnership at TottisLaw, focusing on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation, as well as a partnership at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where significant litigation experience was gained in real estate, securities fraud, and intellectual property. Rachel began professional legal work as a Staff Attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, assisting in the drafting of decisions across a wide range of legal issues. Rachel's career started as an Associate Attorney at Piper Rudnick LLP, litigating various civil actions. Rachel holds a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, earned in 1996.
