Manuel Lopez-Leon, M.D., serves as the Medical Director at Elevance Health since November 2019. As a member of the Committee on Ethics for The American College of Psychiatrists since February 2016, Manuel Lopez-Leon contributes to handling complaints and maintaining the Code of Ethics. With a longstanding involvement in the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Manuel Lopez-Leon holds positions as a Fellow and has served as Chair and Secretary of the Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Section. Since 2006, collaborative roles in private practice encompass Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. Manuel Lopez-Leon, a board-certified psychiatrist, actively participates in the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law and the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry, including serving as President.
