Sandra Leyan

Sandra Leyan is a Family Nurse Practitioner currently employed at Massachusetts General Hospital since September 2024. Leyan has been an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing since 2019 and 2018, respectively. As an Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Leyan contributes to the School of Nursing. Previous experience includes serving as an FNP-C in Orthopaedics at UC CHRISTUS from August 2019 to August 2024 and as a Teaching Assistant at Boston College's Connell School of Nursing. Clinical practice includes roles as a surgical nurse in cardiovascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery units at Red de Salud UC CHRISTUS, as well as previous nursing duties at Clínica Santa María. Leyan holds an MSN FNP from Boston College and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Universidad de los Andes, complemented by a Diploma in Surgical Process Management from the same institution.
