Haya Adil Sheikh

Haya Adil Sheikh is a dedicated member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Honor Society since August 2022 and has been actively involved in various roles at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry, including Student Ambassador, Philanthropy Chair, and Equipment Team Member since 2021. Haya also serves as a Student Fellow at the American Academy of Optometry and previously worked at Women’s College Hospital and Toronto Eye Clinic in roles related to Covid assessment and optometric assistance, respectively. Haya's commitment to social issues is evident from participation in the Working Group on Youth and Gender Equality at UN Women and as a volunteer with the United Nations Association in Canada. Leadership was displayed as Vice President of External Affairs for Woodsworth College Students' Association, engaging in event planning and advocacy for off-campus students. Haya's educational background includes pursuing a Doctor of Optometry at the University of California, Berkeley, after earning an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
