Obed Amoah-Smith, OD, SC-GARD, Prof Cert Med Ret, FAAO, currently serves as a Fellow at the American Academy Of Optometry and holds a part-time lecturer position at the University of Cape Coast. With a background as an optometrist at Ghartey Eye Centre and as an intern at KOMFO ANOKYE TEACHING HOSPITAL, Obed has extensive clinical experience. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Clinical Optometry from Cardiff University and several professional certificates from the College of Optometrists in the UK, covering areas such as paediatric eye care, glaucoma, and medical retina. Further training includes a Specialist Certificate in Glaucoma and Retinal Disease from the University of Melbourne and various public health certificates from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Obed obtained a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Cape Coast.
