Hong Kim Duong

Hong Kim Duong currently serves as the Secretary for the International Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association and as Vice President of the IMA Hampton Roads Chapter. Since July 2019, Hong Kim Duong has held the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting at Old Dominion University and contributes to the Review of Accounting and Finance Journal as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board. Previous experience includes various leadership roles within the American Accounting Association, such as Co-chair for the International Accounting Section Midyear Meetings in 2021 and 2022, along with a prior position as Assistant Professor of Accounting at Salisbury University. Academic credentials include a PhD in Accounting, with research interests in financial reporting, executive compensation, and corporate governance, and an MBA in Finance, both obtained from The University of Texas at El Paso. Hong Kim Duong's earlier career includes experience as an instructor and researcher at The University of Texas at El Paso and as an accountant/researcher at the Vietnam Development Forum.
