John Welch

John Welch, CPCU, ARe, has extensive experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, currently serving as a Senior Reinsurance Contract Drafter at AmericanAg since October 2017. Prior to this, John operated as a self-employed consultant and witness for claims-related matters from October 2014 to October 2017. At SCOR, from October 2012 to October 2014, John was the AVP of Claims, overseeing the management and performance of claims staff and high-profile accounts. A long tenure at Allstate Insurance from 1986 to September 2011 involved various roles culminating as Environmental Claim Manager, where John managed significant reinsurance claims. Educational qualifications include a B.S. in Actuarial Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
