Stefan Boes

Stefan Boes is a skilled professional in the field of geospatial analytics and catastrophe analysis, currently serving as a Catastrophe Analytics & GIS Analyst at AmericanAg since August 2020, where Stefan builds complex datasets in SQL Server Management Studio and integrates client datasets into ESRI’s Geospatial Portal. Previously, at the City of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Stefan functioned as a GIS Specialist, providing essential geospatial data to support city development and ensuring accurate utility information for construction projects. Early in the career, Stefan undertook roles including GIS Intern at the Village of Buffalo Grove, Meteorologist Intern at WGN-TV, and Research Assistant at the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research. Stefan holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies and Atmospheric and Oceanic Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master's of Science in Geoscience with a Concentration in Applied Meteorology from Mississippi State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Analysis from Northern Illinois University.
