Jonathan Rajala

Jonathan Rajala is a highly experienced professional in the fields of engineering and filtration technologies, currently serving as TC 2.4 Chair and GPC 35 Webmaster and PCVM at ASHRAE since June 2019. Rajala is also the 2nd Vice-chair and a Board Member of the American Filtration & Separations Society, contributing to the advancement of filtration practices. In their role as R&D Manager at AAF International, responsibilities include leading the development of applications that quantify the total cost of ownership of air filtration systems. Additional leadership positions include Chair of the US TAG to ISO/TC 142 and previous roles as Graduate Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The University of Akron, where research included the creation of advanced nanofiber materials. Rajala holds a PhD and a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Akron.
