Sharla Huseman is an experienced communications manager currently serving at the American Angus Association since October 2021. Prior to this role, Sharla held the position of Director of Marketing at the Kansas Beef Council from September 1998 to October 2021, where efforts focused on enhancing the beef industry's image through supply chain engagement. Earlier experience includes working in carcass sales at IBP, Inc. from 1995 to 1996, collaborating with USDA graders on beef carcass inventory. Sharla holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Industry from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The American Angus Association is the nation’s largest beef breed organization, serving more than 25,000 members across the United States, Canada and several other countries. It’s home to the worlds largest beef breed registry that grows by nearly 300,000 animals each year. In the first century of operation, more than 10 million head were recorded. Our goal is to serve the beef cattle industry, and increase the production of consistent, high quality beef that will better satisfy consumers throughout the world.
