The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals throughout the United States and Canada. AAHA-accredited veterinary hospitals are champions for excellent pet health care. They voluntarily choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary care. 

Currently, over 3,600 small animal veterinary hospitals are accredited by AAHA. Consultants regularly visit these hospitals to ensure compliance with AAHA’s standards for services and facilities.

The Technical and Development Team at the American Animal Hospital Association is responsible for developing and maintaining digital tools and applications that support the accreditation process and enhance the capabilities of veterinary hospitals.
