Chelsea Murtha is a seasoned professional in sustainability and global affairs with extensive experience in the apparel and footwear industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Sustainability at the American Apparel & Footwear Association from September 2022 to December 2023, Chelsea previously held the position of Director of Sustainability before that role. Chelsea’s background includes serving as Director of Trade, Sustainability, and Global Affairs at Sorini, Samet & Associates, LLC from December 2017 to August 2022, and handling Membership & Communications at the United States Fashion Industry Association in early 2017. Prior roles include Research Associate at The Stern Group, Inc. and Graduate Fellow at George Washington University. Chelsea holds a Master of Science in Philosophy and Public Policy from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from The George Washington University.
