Bethany Hawkins, CAE, currently serves as the Vice President of the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH), a position held since July 2024, following nearly 19 years as Chief of Operations at the same organization. With extensive experience in nonprofit organizations in Tennessee, Bethany has developed expertise in project management, community engagement, professional development, strategic planning, budget management, and event planning. Previous roles include Program Manager at Lane Motor Museum and Marketing Director at Sam Davis Home and Museum, as well as Executive Director of the latter organization. Bethany holds a Master of Arts in Public History and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from Middle Tennessee State University.
