Emily Hopkins is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in historical preservation and community engagement. Since August 2012, Emily has served as a Graduate Assistant for the CGP Community Stories Oral History Project, where responsibilities have included digitizing oral histories, preparing public programs on land use issues, and implementing a preservation plan for the collection. In addition, Emily has been a Programs Intern at the American Association for State and Local History since May 2013, focusing on resource development and social media strategy. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Curator at the Oconee Heritage Center, where exhibition curation and community outreach programs were key duties, and working as a Student Assistant at Clemson University Special Collections, providing support to patrons and processing university documents. Emily holds a Master's degree in History Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program and a Bachelor's degree in History from Clemson University.
