Marietta Damond is the Senior Director of Membership for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Marietta’s primary focus is to grow and support an active, engaged, and diverse membership for the organization. Prior to this role, Marietta worked as the Deputy Chief Program Officer at AAAS and the Director of Research in the Department of Membership at AAAS.

Over the last 30 years, Marietta has worked extensively in the fields of behavioral research and program evaluation directing and implementing research projects on a national scale for several clients such as The National Institutes of Health, The American Red Cross, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, various professional associations and private industry. She received her doctorate degree in Applied Social Psychology from The George Washington University.
