Tony Martinez is a medical professional with extensive experience in hepatology. Currently serving as a Fellow at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases since January 2020, Tony holds the position of Medical Director of Hepatology at the University at Buffalo since December 2012. Prior roles include Associate Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego from July 2008 to November 2012 and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College from July 2006 to June 2008. Tony began a medical career as a Resident Physician at Roger Williams Medical Center from June 2003 to June 2006. Tony obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara between 1998 and 2002 and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Providence College from 1994 to 1998. Early education was completed at Scituate High School from 1990 to 1994.
