Sheryl Luzzadder-Beach

Sheryl Luzzadder-Beach has a diverse work experience that spans various academic roles in geography and geoinformation science. Sheryl served as the President of the American Association of Geographers from 2018 to 2019 and the Past President of AAG from 2019. Additionally, they held positions at The University of Texas at Austin, including Department Chair and Professor of Geography. Prior to that, they were at George Mason University, where they were a Professor and Chair, as well as an Associate Provost for General Education. Sheryl'sacademic career began with roles at University of Georgia, Humboldt State University, and University of Minnesota.

Sheryl Luzzadder-Beach earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography from California State University, Chico in 1982. Sheryl then went on to obtain a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Geography from the University of Minnesota in 1984, followed by a PhD in Geography from the same institution in 1990.
