Nicholas Ramfos

Nicholas Ramfos is a seasoned transportation and operations professional currently serving as the Director of the National Operations Center of Excellence at AASHTO since January 2024. Prior to this role, Nicholas held various leadership positions, including Director of Transportation Operations Programs and Director of Alternative Commute Programs at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, where management of multi-million-dollar federal and state funded transportation programs was central. Nicholas also served as Senior Regional Planner for Transportation Demand Management at the San Diego Association of Governments and held earlier marketing and planning positions in several organizations including the Chicago Area Transportation Study and Lovio George Inc. Nicholas earned a BA in Public Relations and Political Science from Purdue University.
