Scott J. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Scott began their career in 1989 as the SSGT Data Processing Manager at SDANG, where they worked until 1996. Scott then joined Gateway as a Sr. Network Engineer from 1993 to 1999. Following this, they served as the Director of IS at Bankfirst from 1999 to 2005. In 2005, Scott joined MetaBank as the VP - Enterprise Information Security Officer, a role they held for over 14 years until 2019. In the same year, they joined American Bank & Trust, first as the CIO and later transitioned to American Bank & Trust - South Dakota as their CIO.
Scott J. attended the University of South Dakota from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. In addition to their university education, they have obtained several certifications including C|CISO from EC-Council in July 2017, CISM from ISACA in March 2014, PCIP from PCI Security Standards Council in October 2012, CRISC from ISACA in August 2012, and CISSP from (ISC)2 in September 2010.
