Tamara L. Young

Tamara L. Young serves as the Director of Enrollment Management at American Baptist College since June 2021, following a role as Senior Admissions Counselor at the same institution. Previous experience includes positions as a Customer Service Recruiter/Training Specialist at CGS Administrators, LLC, and National Admissions Consultant at Colorado Technical University. Tamara's early career involved teaching middle school at Byram Middle School and working as an Admission Counselor at both Belhaven University and the University of Phoenix, where responsibilities included guiding adult students through admissions processes and degree selections. Tamara is currently pursuing an Executive PhD in Urban Higher Education at Jackson State University, building on a strong educational foundation that includes multiple degrees in Psychology and Education from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor's from Chicago State University.
