Marc Center has a wide range of work experience in the automotive industry, specifically focusing on electrification and battery systems. Marc began their career at GM Electrification in 2007 as a Propulsion System Engineer, where they were responsible for balancing propulsion system requirements and overseeing the performance of various components. Marc then moved on to work at General Motors Global Battery Systems from 2016 to 2020 as a Senior Battery System Engineer. During this time, they played a significant role in developing battery systems for electric vehicles. In 2020, Marc joined General Motors as a Senior Battery Cell Performance System Engineer and later transitioned to the role of Electrification System Engineer Outside Applications in 2022. Currently, they are employed at American Battery Solutions Inc. as a Lead System Engineer, where they are involved in working on future model battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Marc Center attended Oakland University from 2002 to 2006, where they pursued a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a field of study in Systems Engineering. Prior to that, from 1977 to 1982, they attended Kettering University and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
