Johnny Matherne

Johnny Matherne has extensive experience in cemetery management and operations, currently serving as Superintendent of Rhone American Cemetery and previously as Assistant Superintendent at Luxembourg American Cemetery with the American Battle Monuments Commission since November 2021. Prior roles included Assistant Superintendent at Henri Chapelle American Cemetery and a tenure as Process Technician at Marathon Petroleum Corporation from July 2015 to August 2020. Johnny Matherne served in the US Army as CW2 from December 1993 to January 2014. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from the University of Louisiana Monroe, an Associate of Arts in French Studies from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, and a Bachelor's degree in General Studies with an emphasis on Behavioral Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
