Lawrence Swiader is the Chief Digital Officer at American Battlefield Trust. Lawrence has over 20 years of experience in digital media and has held various leadership positions at nonprofit organizations.
Swiader started their career as a web developer at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 1998. In 2008, they became the Vice President of Digital Media at The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy where they led programs for teens and adults and oversaw all aspects of The National Campaign’s digital presence and behavioral design. Lawrence was responsible for setting overall strategy, team building & recruiting, thought leadership, behavior change, informational and procedural learning via digital & mobile media, leading brand management, advertising, content marketing, and other outreach efforts, process and program evaluations, web analytics and other measurement, and leading Design Thinking workshops for internal and external teams. Under their leadership, The National Campaign raised more than $30 million in grants and donations.
In 2017, Swiader joined American Battlefield Trust as their Chief Digital Officer. In this role, they are responsible for leading the organization’s digital transformation efforts. Swiader is an expert in many systems including Drupal, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS, Blackbaud, Google 360 Suite, Adobe Suite, and social media analytics.
Lawrence Swiader graduated with a BS in Television Production from Syracuse University. Lawrence then went on to earn an MS in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation from the same school.
