Lawrence Lurvey M.D.

Lawrence Lurvey MD, JD, MEd, FACOG has significant experience in the fields of medicine and law, currently serving as a Commissioner for the Community Police Oversight Commission in Pasadena since June 2021. As a Fellow at the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since October 2003 and a physician with Kaiser Permanente since November 1997, Lawrence has demonstrated long-term dedication to healthcare. Previous roles within the Southern California Permanente Medical Group include Regional Assistant Medical Director focusing on quality, risk management, and women's and children's health, as well as Area Assistant Medical Director. Lawrence completed an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School in 2019 and holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, alongside a Doctor of Law and a Master of Education from the same institution, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago.
