Sofia Malena Rebull

Sofia Malena Rebull is currently a Fulbright Fellow with the Fulbright Association, a position held since August 2025. Prior to this, Sofia volunteered at Oxford Adult Day Services, assisting senior citizens with activities and engagement. An undergraduate student researcher at Miami University from October 2021 to July 2025, Sofia worked in Dr. Katia Del Rio-Tsonis' laboratory. Participation in the Mallory-Wilson Center Preceptorship Program involved shadowing an orthopedic surgeon, while engagement in the TriHealth Externship provided insights into healthcare operations. Sofia's role as a “Choose Development!” Fellow with the Society for Developmental Biology focused on training in a developmental biology lab. Previous volunteer experiences include working with children at the Childhood Development Center and supporting operations at The Poppet Project. Sofia served as a Miami-Dade Youth Commissioner and held a position as a service clerk at Publix. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Miami University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Lancashire.
