William Davis

William Davis, PE, serves as the Senior Program Manager for Government Programs at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) since February 2023. Previously, William held numerous roles at the U.S. Coast Guard from October 2000 to February 2023, including Deputy Program Manager for the Boat Acquisition Program, Commanding Officer of the Fast Response Cutter Project Resident Office, and Logistics Department Head in Sector Juneau. William's engineering expertise was further developed during service as an Engineering Integrator for the Offshore Patrol Cutter Ship Design Team and as Engineer Officer on the Coast Guard Cutter Acushnet, among other positions. William earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School (2007-2009) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute (1996-2000), following a high school education at Kodiak High School (1994-1996).
