David W. Benson

David W. Benson has extensive experience in governmental relations and campaign management, currently serving as Senior State & Local Campaigns Manager at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network since December 2014, where responsibilities include directing government relations for North Dakota and South Dakota. Prior roles include Staff Assistant for U.S. Senator Tim Johnson, Campaign Manager for Matt Varilek’s campaign for South Dakota, Executive Director of the Montana Democratic Party, Deputy Campaign Manager for Al Franken's Senate campaign, and Deputy Finance Director for Midwest Values PAC. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, as well as History, from Augustana University (SD), earned between 1998 and 2002.
