Dee Mathis is an experienced executive leader in community engagement and fundraising with a comprehensive background in nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the American Cancer Society since January 2002, Dee is responsible for multi-million dollar revenue goals in South Central Pennsylvania and manages a development team executing a comprehensive revenue strategy. Previous roles at the American Cancer Society include Senior Manager of Community Development, Interim Senior Director of Community Engagement, and Regional Vice President, among others. Prior experience includes serving as Community Relations Coordinator and Development Director at Planned Parenthood of North Central Ohio, where Dee generated significant fundraising revenue and organized community education initiatives. Earlier career accomplishments include overseeing a capital campaign at Galion Community Center YMCA and effectively increasing membership. Dee holds a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from Slippery Rock University.
