Robert Kargbo

Robert Kargbo is a CMC Project Lead and Medicinal Chemist at Usona Institute since September 2017, where responsibilities include managing GMP and non-GMP API production campaigns and conducting thorough investigations to ensure compliance with company standards. Kargbo has held various roles in the American Chemical Society, including Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Addiction and Substance Abuse, Executive Committee Member for CALPACS, and Patent Panelist for ACS Medicinal Chemistry Letters. Prior experience includes serving as a Team Leader and Senior Research Scientist at AMRI from 2008 to 2017, overseeing projects related to drug-based medicinal chemistry and managing a team of researchers. Early career achievements include recognition as Employee of the Year at Cardinal Glass Industries and experience as a Professor and Research Teaching Assistant at the College of Medicine & Allied Health Sciences. Kargbo holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from North Dakota State University and a BS in Chemistry from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone.
