Ruma Banerjee is a prominent figure in the field of biochemistry, currently serving as Co Director of the MOSAIC program and Associate Editor at the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology since 2012. At the University of Michigan, Banerjee holds the position of Vincent Massey Collegiate Professor since 2007 and also contributes as an Associate Editor for Chemical Reviews within the American Chemical Society. Previously, from 2002 to 2007, Banerjee was the George Holmes University Professor of Biochemistry and Director of the Redox Biology Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, as well as the Willa Cather Professor of Biochemistry. Ruma Banerjee earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds both an M.S. and B.S. in Plant Sciences from Delhi University.
