Alex Orfinger

Alex Orfinger is a seasoned executive in the business journalism industry, currently serving as Market President and Publisher of the Washington Business Journal since July 2020. With a tenure at American City Business Journals from 1992 to the present as Executive Vice President and Publisher, Orfinger co-founded the Business Journals Leadership Trust in January 2019, a network of influential business leaders. Previous roles include Board Chair at Jubilee Housing, Publisher of the Washington Business Journal from 1996 to 2014, Publisher of the Dallas Business Journal, and Associate Publisher of the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Orfinger holds a BA in history from Vassar College and an MS in foreign affairs from Georgetown University.
