Robert Musacchio

Robert Musacchio is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the medical profession and associations. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at the American College of Chest Physicians since October 2018, Robert Musacchio previously held multiple senior positions at the American Medical Association from 1993 to August 2022. Notable roles included Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, responsible for business growth strategy, and Chair of the Board for the AMA Insurance Agency. Robert Musacchio also served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer, driving strategic information systems initiatives. Earlier academic positions included Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin campuses, complemented by a Ph.D. in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
